Materials
  • Five or more sheets of 8.5" x 11" heavyweight paper
  • Scissors or X-ACTO knife
  • Metal-edged ruler
  • Butter knife
  • Cutting mat (optional)
  • Multipurpose glue
  • Ribbon or string (optional)
  • Adobe Reader software
Instructions
  1. Load the 8.5" x 11" paper into your printer.
  2. Print the Assembly instructions.
  3. Now it's time to print the Card artwork. Since this is a two-sided project, you'll need to print each side one at a time. The instructions below explain how to re-insert your card for double-sided printing.
  4. From the project PDF, click on the Print icon or select Print from the File menu. From the dialogue box:
    • Set Page Scaling to None.
    • Check the Auto-Rotate and Center box.
  5. Click the Properties button. You'll do several things here:
    • Set Print Quality to Best.
    • Set Paper Type to match the paper you're using.
    • Select Paper Size to Letter (8.5" x 11").
    • Set Paper Source to Main tray.
    • Set Orientation to Portrait.
NOTE: These instructions are for a newer model printer. Where you find these fields will depend on your printer.
  6. Set page range at "1 to 1" and print. Set aside to dry completely.
  7. To print the back side, place the page back into printer exactly as it came out.
  8. Set page range at "2 to 2" and print.
  9. Print Embellishments and Envelope PDFs following steps 4 and 5.
  10. For assembly, refer to instructions included with artwork.
NOTE: These instructions are for HP colour inkjet printers, which load from the front. If your printer loads from the back, please consult your printer's user guide. Try printing a test page before using any specialty paper.
