The humble egg, it doesn't get dressed up much, but once a year it goes wild! Now you can bring out the animal instinct in your eggs by decorating them with these untamed outfits. Lions and rabbits and elephants, oh my! It's a basket of fun for everyone.

Egg dress-up kit

Level: medium
Start to finish: 1 hour
HP recommends:
»  HP Brochure and Flyer Paper, matte (100 sheets, 8.5 x 11")
Media size: 8.5 x 11 inches

»  Download art

Instructions:

  1. Print the egg decorations and stands onto card stock. Set aside to dry completely.
  2. For easier folding, score the tabs of the decorations. To do this, lay a ruler along each set of grey dotted lines, and run a butter knife or scoring tool along the ruler. Use moderate pressure to create an indentation on the paper.
  3. Place the cutting mat underneath the page. Using the X-ACTO knife and the ruler as your guide, trim the white areas away from the decorations and stands.
  4. Apply a small bead of glue to one end of an egg stand and connect the ends together to form a ring.
  5. Experiment with the placement of the decorations on the eggs. Once you've chosen the right spot, mark the area with a tiny pencil mark.
  6. Apply a dot of glue to your egg on the pencil mark, and then quickly add your decoration.
  7. Continue dressing all the eggs until your menagerie is complete.
